If you would like to run Specifi® Design Plugin on an Apple Macintosh you must install a Windows virtualization application (eg: Parallels) and then one of the compatible Windows Operating Systems.

The Specifi® Design Plugin is compatible with the following Operating Systems:

  • Windows 11 64 bit
  • Windows 10 64 bit

Specifi® Design Plugin is compatible with AutoCAD® from 2019 to 2024 (excluding LT versions), Revit® 2019 to 2024 (excluding LT versions) AutoCAD® Mechanical, Map3D, Architecture or other Autodesk® Suites that include the AutoCAD® product inside them are not certified because compatibility tests are performed with standard AutoCAD® versions.

The following are the minimum requirements for Specifi® Design Plugin, they are consistent with Autodesk® products minimum requirements:

  • RAM: 16GB or more
  • GPU: Dedicated Direct3D graphics card with minimum capacity 4GB (suggested GPU compatible with AutoCAD®/Revit®)

Yes, Specifi® Design Plugin can be installed with Specifi® Design Plus CAD engine. If you don’t have an AutoCAD® license compatible with Specifi®, you can install first Specifi® Design Plus OEM CAD engine and then the Specifi® Design Plugin.

Specifi® Quote Cloud is a web based software and it requires Internet connection. Specifi® Design Plugin is installed locally into the PC and it does not require constant internet access to operate. It requires Internet connection only at startup (login), and to insert equipment from web catalog or to synchronize the drawing with the quotation, as Quote module is web base. Specifi® Design and Quote Legacy do not require constant internet access to operate. Only for the installation and to run Specifi® LiveUpdate in order to install the official library updates of manufacturer catalogues.
